| The Ultrasound Diagnosis Virtual Teaching System is designed to enable learners to progressively master standard clinical procedures through simulated practice. By applying simulated ultrasound probes on virtual patients, learners acquire dynamic ultrasound images of normal anatomy and common pathologies across various planes. This deepens their understanding of normal anatomical structures in clinically relevant ultrasound planes and the sonographic features of pathological conditions. Images are derived from real-time scans of actual patients and are combined with virtual anatomical structures to demonstrate how the simulated probe scans key points on organs, immersing users in a realistic clinical operating environment. During simulation practice with this system, as the position and angle of the ultrasound probe change, the images also display corresponding changes consistent with the anatomical structures of the respective cross-sections. The system includes over 200 distinct cases, covering approximately 90% of the cases described in the third edition of the Ultrasound Diagnosis textbook. The system features both training and competition modes. The competition mode is conducted with multiple machines and includes mandatory questions and rapid-fire questions. |
